What do you guys do when someone comes up after church and says, "Hey, I know a great song for you guys to do."

Really, what do you do with requests? On my song list, I have a ton of songs on the "To Bring In" list. So I'm sitting here trying to decide what to do with the ever so many new songs I have in que plus adding those that have been requested. And to be honest, some of those requested songs, bite, to say it nicely if you know what I mean!

I'm right there with ya man. I've got a bunch of songs on the "to do" list, so getting new song requests can be a challenge. Sometimes I get lucky and they suggest a song that's already on my list. If I've heard the song, I tell them I've heard it, if I like it, I'll say that I like it. If I don't I'll evaluate the song to see why I don't like it and ask some others if they like it. If it turns out I'm the only one that doesn't like the song, then there's a good chance we'll do the song. Believe it or not, I'm not in love with every song we do, but we do them because other members of our congregation are.
