Our Praise Team has just recently acquired a very proficient guitar player. Praise the Lord! Up till now we have had only electric piano that also played a drum beat. I have been praying for God to grow our team in His time, and a while back I felt like He was telling me to get ready cause He was about to bust it open! We had our first night of VBS last night. I am leading the music part. Our very creative VBS directors wrote their own program this year. Good ol church camp style. So in the music class we are doing all the famous church songs of our childhood. It's been great reliving those times. Today was a bit rocky at our church. Don't you hate coming in ready to worship and lift up our awesome God only to have problem after problem?! It started with our video projection system (which is usually the thorn in our side) not wanting to play our DVD that the Pastor had requested for offering. I'm the worship director at Open Door Baptist Church in Culpeper Va. I lead the praise team, choir and plan the music for the services. I am currently doing this voluntarily, but plan to actively look for a part time worship job in the Spring of 2010. I have been doing this for 3 yrs now and God has taught me so much.
